Under the theme, One Health: Advancing Global AMR Commitments through Local Action, the 5th High-Level Ministerial Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) will take place in Abuja, Nigeria, and will bring together ministers, policymakers, scientists, civil society leaders, and international partners to accelerate the global response to AMR.

This landmark event builds on previous ministerial in the Netherlands, Oman, and Saudi Arabia – charting a collective path toward sustainable action at national and local levels. In 2026, the conversation moves to Africa, with a renewed focus on equity, innovation, and environmental sustainability.

Ministers of Health, Agriculture, Climate/Environment, Fisheries and Finance, policymakers and government officials, representatives from international organizations and development partners, researchers, innovators, and health professionals and civil society and youth networks are welcome to attend the Conference.
