Karina Khatic is a final year Veterinary student from Trinidad and Tobago and currently serves as a trustee member of the International Veterinary Students' Association (IVSA) which focuses on all aspects of Veterinary Medicine including One Health. Through IVSA, her interest in One Health and particularly Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) began. Karina is currently involved in several NGOs and works in various fields irrespective of her career. She enjoys doing work with wild and exotic animals and horses but wishes to pursue specialisations in Equine Medicine and Surgery while still incorporating AMR. She intends to broaden her horizon and build on her knowledge of AMR to aid in targeting the issue in the Veterinary field. Karina aspires to create an impact in the combat against AMR especially in her home country. |
