Emmanuella Diane Mankartah

Biography

Emmanuella Diane Mankartah is a clinical pharmacist and researcher with a focus on antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in human health. She serves as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Ghana School of Pharmacy and is the founder of Advocates Working against Antimicrobial Resistance (AWARE) Ghana, a youth-led NGO empowering tertiary-level students to become AMS advocates.

Passionate about engaging young people in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR), she played a key role in organizing the African Youth AMR Forum, a three-day conference that attracted over 900 participants in its inaugural year and 1,300 the following year. Currently, she supports the Policy and Development Goals team of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in the implementation of FIP Development Goal 17 on AMS. Her research interests focus on integrating AMR education into health professional training through a One Health approach.
