Anna Liakopoulou

Biography

Anna Liakopoulou is a sixth-year medical student at the University of Ioannina, Greece. She currently serves as the Liaison Officer for Medical Sciences and Research Issues at the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), where she leads advocacy and policy work on responsible research and innovation, access to medicines, open science, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and youth participation in One Health. Anna has represented IFMSA at major international platforms such as the World Health Assembly, the World Local Production Forum, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Young Doctors Meeting, contributing to youth-led advocacy in global health governance. She was also a member of the IFMSA Advocacy Working Group on AMR during WHA77, contributing to awareness, policy dialogue, and youth engagement on this global health priority. Anna is passionate about strengthening youth participation in health decision-making and fostering a research culture that bridges science, education, and advocacy for a more equitable and sustainable future.
