Professor Rungtip Chuanchuen – Professor, Department of Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She leads national and supranational consortia engaged with developing and implementing AMR and AMU surveillance guidance from a One Health perspective. She is the Head of the Research Unit in Microbial Food Safety and Antimicrobial Resistance (CUFSAR); the Director, Center for Antimicrobial Resistance in Foodborne Pathogens (in cooperation with WHO) (CUARM); Director, Global Foodborne Infections Network: South-East Asia and Western Pacific Region, and the Director, FAO Reference Center for Antimicrobial Resistance. She supports countries in Asia and Pacific regions to strengthen their capacities and capabilities to manage AMR risks, national AMR surveillance, data collection and analyses, antimicrobial susceptibility testing and quality assurance in veterinary laboratories. She has researched and published extensively on molecular epidemiology and mechanisms of AMR in bacteria of veterinary public health importance using a One Health approach.
