Jay Gomboso

Biography

Jay Gomboso is an expert in applied biosecurity economics and epidemiological-economic modelling. She has worked on a range of priority animal (and plant) biosecurity threats from an economic and trade and market access perspective—including Equine Influenza, Lawsonia Intracellularis, (Xylella fastidiosa and Ug-99). Jay has spent the last few years as a senior manager and epi-econ modeller in Epidemiology and One Health, with a focus on AMR, AMU and stewardship. Her contribution to the Group will revolve around the impact of AMR on food-animal production, and how this might affect domestic trade and global market access.
