Biography
Jaber Oufkir, a medical student from Morocco, is currently the Liaison Officer for Public Health Issues at the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA). Founded in 1951, IFMSA represents over 1.5 million medical students across 130+ countries. Jaber has a strong interest in advancing global health, particularly in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and other global health topics such as climate change and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). He has actively represented youth perspectives at prestigious high-level events like the 77th World Health Assembly (WHA77), where he was Morocco’s first Youth Delegate, and the World Health Summit 2024. Jaber’s work spans local, national, and global platforms, advocating for meaningful youth engagement in health policy and decision-making processes.
