With over two decades of expertise in animal health and international policy, François Caya is a seasoned professional known for significant contributions to veterinary medicine, capacity building, and the development of animal health strategies. Holding a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and a Master's in Veterinary Microbiology, his career spans influential national, regional, and international positions. As Chief of Staff at WOAH, he has led initiatives such as implementing the Seventh Strategic Plan and the modernization of the PVS Pathway. His skill set is enriched by a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, a commitment to international cooperation, and a passion for advancing global animal health policies. He is Deputy Director General – Institutional Affairs & Governance of the World Organisation for Animal Health.
