Francesca Zanni is a young physician and Public Health specialist who serves as the President of the European Network of Medical Residents in Public Health – EuroNet MRPH and chairs the Mental Health Working Group at the World Health Organisation’s Youth Council. She is an expert in the use of mixed methods for public health research during emergencies. At the moment, she serves as Junior Expert in the WHO Technical Advisory Group Preparedness 2.0, which provides guidance on the new regional strategy and action plan to strengthen health emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience in the WHO European Region 2024–2029. Francesca currently works on climate change, with multiple focuses on communication, education and mental health. Her research aims to pinpoint the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic in these fields, and embed them into the response to the climate crisis. Through the multiple networks she represents, Francesca strongly advocates for the engagement of the next generation of public health professionals in global decision-making, in a perspective of intergenerational justice. |
