He has extensive scientific and regulatory experience with AMR and AMU, including surveillance programs, regulation of antimicrobials and AMR risk assessment in Canada (participated in the Canadian Integrated Program for AMR Surveillance - CIPARS), China and USA. He has engaged with Quadripartite work as a selected expert for WHO Critically Important Antimicrobials Advisory Group and has participated in various FAO/WHO/WOAH/UNEP activities on AMR/U-drug-food safety. He was

a technical lead in the Canadian delegation for CODEX Task Force on AMR. He is a member of the

Veterinary Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing subcommittee of the CLSI. He has published considerably on AMR and AMU science and surveillance of resistant bacteria of public and veterinary

health importance.
