Dr Muna Abu Sin

Dr Muna Abu Sin – IPC Specialist, Deputy Head of Unit for healthcare-associated infections,

surveillance of antimicrobial resistance and consumption, Robert Koch Institute, Germany

She has contributed to the development and implementation of technical guidance on AMR and AMU surveillance (GLASS). She provides scientific support for the RKI-based Expert Commission of Antiinfectives, Resistance and Therapy and technical advice for the Ministry of Health in the field of AMR.

Her unit is the WHO CC for Antimicrobial Resistance, Consumption and Healthcare-Associated Infections and currently coordinating the WHO AMR Surveillance and Quality Assessment Collaborating Centres Network. She was an RKI scientific adviser to Germany's G7 presidency on AMR integrated surveillance activities. She is part of the RKI internal group that supports GLG member Prof. Lothar Wieler, who leads the GLG Task Force on integrated surveillance.
