Marquita Gittens-St. Hilaire

Dr Marquita Gittens-St. Hilaire – Medical Microbiologist, Lecturer in Microbiology, Faculty of

Medical Sciences, The University of West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados

She contributes to the development and implementation of technical guidance in AMR as a member of the National Task Force on AMR in Barbados which is tasked with the development and implementation of NAP. Dr Gittens-St. Hilaire contributes to regional One Health initiatives including the CaribVetNet laboratory group. She has researched extensively on bacterial and non-bacterial AMR transmission in human health and has contributed to the understanding of the interplay of zoonotic or animal infections of importance in the Caribbean region.
