| Augusto Barón is a medical doctor from Honduras with over ten years of experience leading youth action in public health in the local and international scene through cooperation with a variety of NGOs, as well as international agencies and organizations. He has been an advocate for mental health, emotional intelligence learning, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). In 2019 he founded the community initiative ColectivoSalud, which up to January 2022 carried-out public health oriented projects in Honduras. He is also part of the AMR working group of the Young World Federation of Public Health Associations (Young WFPHA) where he works alongside his colleagues to develop AMR awareness campaigns, networking opportunities for young professionals, and soon resources for youth-led action in AMR. |
